6 months old
Elli had her 6 month check-up today. She weighs 16 lbs. (55th percentile) and is 26 inches long (65th percentile). We are so thankful that she is healthy and growing! These are some pictures from the past few weeks. I'm going to try and be more faithful to posting new pictures!
One of Elli's favorite places to be!
Too funny. Elli and her Aunt Erin...now we know where Elli gets her big mouth! haha
I love that she's hugging back now! So sweet.
Baby food is the new big thing! Each time she tries something new, we get a look of complete surprise and, usually, disgust. This time was carrots, which she doesn't really like. Her favorites are green beans, sweet potatoes, and bananas.
She loves her bouncer and she loves her little lamb.
We thought it was so funny how big Elli looked beside her cousin Peyton at Easter! The first thing she did was roll over onto her!
Easter at Mamaw Gail's house. She was adorned in her Easter best...all her clothes were from her great grandmothers. Mamaw Gail gave her the dress and Mother gave her the bonnet.
Naptime in her swing. She likes to sleep with her hands by her head.

Baby's First Christmas
Elli and me snuggled on Christmas morning in our PJ's.
Elli got lots of presents on her first Christmas. We're looking forward to putting them all in her new room soon.
Elli was baby Jesus in our church Christmas musical a few weeks ago. I must admit she was the star of the show. She was wide-eyed the whole song and seemed as content as she could be on stage, her eyes following Blake (Joseph) and me (Mary) as we each sang our parts. It was just too cute! Little did we know that the next morning she would be in the hospital!Hospital Stay

The week before Christmas, Elli ended up staying three days in the hospital for a kidney infection. Luckily, after about a day of IV antibiotics she was feeling much better. I keep telling people that I really don't think she minded all the individual attention once she felt a little better! The bandage on her wrist was to keep the IV in place. She had another test run yesterday to determine the cause of the infection and it looks like it was just a fluke thing...which is what we were praying for it to be. Thank you, Lord, for our little miracle.

BCM Christmas Bonfire and Movie

We bundled up and went to our friends' Todd and Megan's house for a college bonfire last night. Elli and I mostly stayed inside and visited with Megan and baby Sarah. Todd is the BCM minister at ULM and is a great friend and ministry partner to Clint. Their baby, Sarah, is just 4 weeks older than Elli...they're already friends as you can see!
